Taj Tashombe visits De Anza

Taj Tashombe addresses De Anza High School students

The De Anza High School Performing Arts Theater was filled to its 380 seat capacity as Taj Tashombe, Vice President of External Affairs for the Oakland Athletics, delivered an inspirational presentation that left students eager to reach for the highest heights.  Tashombe challenged students to challenge themselves as he brought to the stage several talented D. A. Dons to showcase their talents to the audience.  These performances served as the embodiment of the "life lessons" Tashombe would share with De Anza involving courage, passion, and creativity.  This event was not only an opportunity for Tashombe to give back to our community, it also exemplified the importance of our community making meaningful connections with the Oakland A's, soon to be the lone professional sports franchise in the East Bay.  

Tashombe is a native of Oakland and has close ties to Richmond and surrounding areas.  He is a graduate of Clark-Atlanta University where he majored in business administration with a concentration in marketing.
